Wheat Bread Rolls




Ingredients:
  • Wheat bread slices-5 to 6
  • Small potato-1 (Boiled,peeled and chopped)
  • Onion-1/4 cup, finely chopped
  • Cabbage-1/2 cup,finely chopped
  • Carrot-1/2 cup shredded
  • Ginger and Garlic paste-1/2 tsp
  • Green chilie-1 finely chopped
  • Garam Masala-1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1/4 tsp
Seasoning:
  • Oil-1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves-6 to 7
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow fry-2 tbsp
  • Water



Method:


1.Heat a pan add oil,when oil is heated add cumin seeds,asafoetida and curry leaves,when they splutter add ginger & garlic paste and green chilli,fry for few minutes.
2.Then add chopped onion fry for few minutes,then add salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder and garam masala and fry for few minutes.
3.When onion is cooked,add cabbage,carrot and potato and mix it well,keep the flame in low for 5 to 6 minutes.
4.After that mix it well and switch off th gas,and let it cool for few minutes.
5.Now take a bread slice and cut all the four edges,then take a small bowl of water and lightly dip the bread and remove it and squeeze out excess water gently with your both hand palms.
6.Place the bread in a plate and put 1 (or) 1 1/2 tbsp of stuffing on the bread,and then gently fold it from one side press it slightly,then fold from the other side and press it slightly.
7.Repeate same thing for the other breads.
8.Now heat a pan add little oil,when oil is heated slowly add the bread roll and cook and at top of bread apply little oil,when one side is cooked turn it to other side and cook till golden brown on both the sides.
9.Serve hot with tomato sauce.


Note:
* Instead of wheat bread you can use white bread also.
